About the Role
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support brokerage and operational accounting functions across SERHANT.’s growing multi-entity organization. This role will support month-end close, intercompany accounting, brokerage revenue activity, reconciliations, and operational accounting processes while helping improve financial controls and scalability as the company continues expanding into new markets.
The ideal candidate has prior brokerage or real estate accounting experience, strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on NetSuite ERP experience, and the ability to manage high-volume transactional activity with strong accuracy and follow-through.
Responsibilities
- General Accounting & Close
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules, amortization entries, and reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies proactively.
- Assist with audit support schedules, reporting deliverables, and internal control documentation.
- Brokerage & Intercompany Accounting
- Manage high-volume intercompany revenue and expense allocations and reconciliations.
- Support brokerage transaction accounting, commission activity, and revenue reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate entity coding and transaction-level accounting across brokerage and operational entities.
- Assist with onboarding new markets, states, and entities into accounting workflows.
- Process Improvement & Operations
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and operational efficiencies.
- Support accrual-based revenue recognition implementation and scalable accounting procedures.
- Partner cross-functionally with Brokerage, Treasury, Operations, and Finance teams on projects and analysis.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in multi-entity organizations.
- Prior real estate brokerage with high-volume transactional accounting experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and month-end close processes.
- Experience handling intercompany accounting and reconciliations required.
- 5+ years hands-on NetSuite ERP experience required.
- Experience with Ramp, Stripe, SkySlope, Deposit Link or similar platforms preferred.
- Exposure to audit preparation, internal controls, IFRS accounting, ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance is preferred.

Compensation
Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.
The national base pay range for this position within the United States is $85,000.00 - $110,000 USD.
Your Location
This position is remote eligible. The role may include occasional work at a SERHANT. office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Candidates must live within the United States.
